About Tantric Dance

Tantric dance is a unique and improvisational partner dance that explores the dynamic interplay between masculine and feminine energies. In this encounter, one person leads (embodying masculine energy) while the other follows (embodying feminine energy), with the follower wearing a blindfold to enhance awareness and discover trust.

This practice allows participants to experience a deeper connection with themselves and others. Find a balance between these energies and enjoy even more the connection and nourishing touch. It’s a journey of self-discovery, where you can feel your life energy flowing more intensely, learn to explore boundaries, and communicate them playfully. Tantric Dance is not only enjoyable, but also brings you a lot.

While you are waiting blindfolded, you feel the invitation to let go of control, to surrender deeply and at the same time you are present and feeling in your own body. Or you lead the dance and feel how everything in you awakens to take your dance partner in the expression of your intention. You feel clear, vibrant with life and energy. Suddenly you feel together how not you shape this dance, but how the dance moves through you. That is the magic of Tantric Dance. Impossible to explain, you have to experience it for yourself.

! Note: Different start time in the afternoon for June 9th.

During the event you’ll dance by yourself, and together with changing roles. There will be plenty of opportunities to discover your own flow, and in relation with changing dance partners. There will be a Tantric Dance demo, a part where you can both follow and take the lead, and surely enough time for free dancing. Couples can stay together if preferred.

Come with an open and curious attitude! And be sure that we will hold a safe space for all of you to have a wonderful experience.

Practical

  • We dance barefoot.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows for free movement.
  • Start fresh and clean; the best advice we can give is to take a shower before.
  • Neutral deodorant is allowed, but avoid perfumes.
  • Bring a bottle for water. Fresh water available.
  • The evening will be guided in English by Dennis Swennen, certified Tantric Dance teacher.

Guidelines & Rules

Tantric Dance is suitable for anyone curious about conscious movement, personal growth and connection. Experience with dance or tantra is not required – just an open heart and a willingness to explore. Tantric Dance is not suitable for you if you’re looking for sexual expectations or an intention that is not consistent with the safe framework of the workshop, which we aspire to. Come clear and sober, not under the influence of alcohol, medication or drugs.
